Born in Austin and raised in Dallas, TX, KAT has become recognized as one of the Pop Art influences of this century. Creating paintings that celebrate music icons and the instruments that they play, KAT has developed a style that is definitely her own.
Classically trained at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, KAT studied and strived to master all forms of art creation. Having worked in all mediums for crafting fine art, she currently prefers acrylic paints to produce her artwork.
Being raised in a family that made music an enormous part of their lives, KAT found herself studying the history of music. Gravitating towards Classic Rock 'N' Roll, she became a walking encyclopedia of the music that affected a generation. Influenced by her surroundings, KAT started painting music themed works which came from her soul.
KAT's artwork started being displayed in the US in 2006. Quickly being heralded as

an artist with an ability and a message, collectors were drawn to her works. Acknowledged for her talent, KAT has gained the respect and support of music legends Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen and BB King, to name a few. Leon Hendrix and the Hendrix Original Art Expressions, commissioned KAT to do a beyond the grave collaborations of art that Jimi created back in the sixties. All of the pieces were acquired as soon as they were released in September of 2009.
Currently, KAT is working on Art Education programs that not only bring back substantial art and music programs in public school systems, but also helps secure funding of these projects. She is using her voice to raise awareness to the need of such programs to inspire the young talent of today to pursue the Arts as a career.
