With homes in Waikiki and Venice Beach, California, Adriana gathers her materials from far and wide. She then imagines women in all walks of life and how some gemstone glamour can express their own inner glow or outward joie de vivre.
After an exciting career in industrial and interior design, Adriana
was inspired by her love of travel — the sights, colors and textures
of diverse world cultures — and her desire to create unique objects of
beauty and joy. “I love a surprise... unexpected variations in color,
size and texture,” she remarks.

These Opalite pieces have their own special luster. Their cool blue-whiteness randomly
reflects warm golden hues, and makes the jewelry seem to glow. Adriana finds this special
material in China, where Opalite is exclusively manufactured (the only man-made material with which Adriana works). Adriana calls these designs "gemstone leis," an elegant incarnation of a traditional Hawaiian art.
